STONEHAM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MISSION STATEMENT The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization comprised of local business, professional and civic-minded people working together to protect, strengthen and promote the economic, cultural and civic welfare of Stoneham. While the Chamber supports businesses by providing a variety of services and information, its broader focus is  fostering community involvement and civic pride.  The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce, established in 1984, was organized to achieve the following objectives:  a.           Promote the betterment of the economic, professional, cultural, and civic welfare of local businesses within the community.   b.           Raise the Town's awareness and understanding of the challenges that Stoneham businesses face while operating in Stoneham c.            Encourage a more open attitude between business and the public regarding city, town, county, state, and national legislative and governmental affairs; d.           Create an atmosphere that will promote and foster the maximum freedom for individuals and business firms consistent with the ability of each to fulfill its responsibilities for the common good; and e.           Encourage total community development to make the community a better place to live and work by functioning as a coordinating agency for the pooling of energies and talents of the business and professional community; and by bringing the energies and talents to bear on the socioeconomic concerns of the area for the mutual benefit and well-being of all citizens, business firms and employees.
